About

I lead with the fact that I have been there.

Ali Lacroix

My story

I went through infertility myself. I know what it feels like from the inside, not just professionally.

I gave myself a hormone injection in a hotel bathroom at my cousin's wedding while watching the clock, wondering if anyone would notice I was gone. I sat in my car outside a fertility clinic at 6:56am waiting for the door light to turn green. I know what it feels like to be mid-conversation with someone and have your brain quietly running infertility in the background the entire time.

That lived experience is central to everything I do. I don't lead with credentials. I lead with the fact that I have been there.

Who I work with

I work with school-based helping professionals navigating infertility for the first time. Teachers, school counselors, BCBAs, social workers, speech pathologists, women who spend their days supporting everyone else while quietly carrying a second full-time job in the background of their minds.

They look functional on the outside. Inside, infertility has become the thing running the room.

The problem I solve

I help school-based helping professionals recognize the invisible mental load patterns that infertility creates, reduce emotional overwhelm, and stay connected to themselves during the uncertainty of treatment.

I am not promising pregnancy outcomes. I am not eliminating grief. I am helping them relate differently to the experience so it does not take over every part of their life.

Notice. Steady. Respond.

Notice. Steady. Respond.

An ACT-informed way to meet the mental spiral in real time.

01

Notice

Present-moment awareness; recognizing when something is starting.

02

Steady

Pause, breathe, ground; acceptance rather than avoidance.

03

Respond

Choose what matters; values-based committed action.

The goal is not to eliminate difficult thoughts. The goal is to change how you respond to them. The thought may still be there. It just does not have to run the room.

"Ali and I worked together for a few months to help me with nutrition while life was happening with the additional stress of IVF. She even lovingly listened to me while I unexpectedly cried in one of our sessions. She cares about the whole person since we did some mindfulness activities together. Ali has provided me with some tips and tricks that I still incorporate today, now that IVF was successful and that I have a little one. Thanks Ali!"
